our wellness regimen

One of the best bits of parenting advice I was given was to be proactive instead of reactivate. Getting ahead of the curve really helps minimize attitude swings for both the little people and the adults. Taking a cue from this, we really try to be proactive in our health as well, because the only thing worse than being sick are having sick kids. 😬 As our news feeds are filled with updated reports on the coronavirus, I thought I would share our regimen for supporting our body systems. 🙌

Before I get into all of the goodies, I just want to clarify a few things. First off, we are so extremely thankful for western medicine and doctors! But we also believe that God designed our bodies with powerful antibodies that should be supported by a healthy diet and by taking organic supplements. Second, I am not a doctor and what I have here is a list of what my family uses with great success to support our body systems. Nothing I am posting here is intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease. Third, when you see * next to an item, it means it's safe for your little people too!





All right... Let's go! + bone broth* - Our health begins with healthy gut flora! Bone broth is not only full of incredible nutrients, but it's delicious! Bone broth has been shown to help seal openings in the gut that may lead to an overactive and eventually weakened immune system. ... Bone broth is easy for the body to absorb, can help heal and seal the gut, and also has anti-inflammatory properties to boot.


+ yl super c chewable vitamin* - Vitamin C has been used with great success since the 1930's! Young Living has formulated chewable vitamin c tablets that are infused with essential oils! We love these! (FYI: These vitamins do contain milk or a milk derivative. Keep reading for my favorite vegan friendly vitamin c!) + orthomolecular vitamin d - This is one of my favorite weapons! Most of us in the modern age are vitamin d deficient. Whenever we have been exposed to sickness, or if we are starting to feel like we may be coming down with something, we go straight for our vitamin d! According to the National Library of Medicine, "Deficiency in vitamin D is associated with increased autoimmunity as well as an increased susceptibility to infection."

These vitamins are super awesome and packed with nutrients and vitamins like vitamins, a, c, e, d, b, folate, magnesium and more! + yl mightypro probiotics* - Okay, these are where it's at! + mary ruth's organic vitamin c gummies* - These gummies are vegan friendly and also have a lower dosage of vitamin c. We use these for a daily wellness regimen with the kids and switch over to the YL chewable option if the kids come down with something. + yl inner defense - Every home needs these!! The Inner Defense reinforces systemic defenses, creates unfriendly terrain for yeast/fungus, promotes healthy respiratory function, and contains potent essential oils like oregano, thyme, and Thieves which are rich in thymol, carvacrol, and eugenol for immune support.

We all take 2oz each day, and we double that if we ever catch a bug. + yl thieves & yl frankincense vitality eo* - Take your daily dose of NingxiaRed to the next level and add a drop of Thieves and Frankincense! I usually put the oils in the bottom of the cups and add the NingxiaRed. You can also dip a toothpick into the Thieves and stir it into the NingxiaRed for your kiddos! + boiron oscillococcinum homeopathic remedy* - I remember the very fist time I used this homeopathic remedy. It was long before I was married with kids of my own, and my family had just come down with the flu. At the very first tingle, I took this and I was sick for one day! Just me? But in all seriousness, the properties in garlic are incredible! Garlic is filled with antioxidants, it's anti-inflammatory, and creates a stronger immune system!


+ golden milk* - have you seen how awesome turmeric is??? If not, you really should Google it! Turmeric naturally boosts the immune system by increasing the immunomodulating capacity of the body. Our Golden Milk is made with coconut almond milk, raw honey, cinnamon, and turmeric. So good! It tastes like a chai tea! Drop comment if you want our recipe!
